About Financial Stability:

The Financial Stability function is responsible for identifying and assessing risks that have the potential to spread within the financial sector and the real economy (systemic risks). Through its own macroprudential research and analysis of the financial sector, which covers the banking, insurance and securities sectors, the function contributes to the formulation of policies aimed at mitigating identified risk.

The Role:
As an analyst within Financial Stability, focusing primarily on the insurance and pensions sector, you will be responsible for the following job accountabilities:
  • Collecting, processing and performing data analysis and financial modelling of data for financial stability purposes;
  • Development and maintenance of business intelligence dashboards, visuals and reports;
  • Statistical reporting and assistance with other reports;
  • Contributing to the MFSA's publications in the area of financial stability;
  • Attending and assisting in technical meetings organized within the MFSA as well as at the national and European level, and
  • Undertaking other tasks/duties, including ad-hoc studies, as directed by line management.


About You:
We are looking for candidates with a strong academic background in Financial Services or other relevant studies at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level, and 3 years experience in a related area. You will also possess a minimum of three (3) years working in the area of Financial Services Sector. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred. Also, knowledge and/or experience in the field of information technology, virtual currencies and their underlying technologies, would be considered an asset. If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least seven (7) years of relevant experience in a similar related role, we would still be interested in speaking with you
