Facilities Manager

We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our client's facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of all facilities, including: 

• Ensuring that the Group's own or rented properties meet the needs of the occupants in terms of furnishing, IT and telecoms infrastructure, boardroom facilities, etc)
• Developing and implementing short and long-term plans for facility maintenance and upgrades
• Handling rental or lease arrangements
• Coordinating, negotiating, and managing all vendors, contractors and tenants
• Supervising, training, and managing all facility staff members
• Monitoring and managing all facility budgets together with the Financial Controller 
• Responding to emergency situations and coordinating responses or actions accordingly
• Ensuring that properties are properly maintained and kept clean and in good working order, and ensuring compliance with all local laws and regulations.
  
  
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent command in Maltese AND English
• Highly meticulous, organized and mature
• A self-starter and multi-tasker
• Adaptable and flexible with a can-do attitude
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills

• A Level Standard of Education
• Previous work experience in a similar role within Facilities or Property Management is highly desired
• Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems would be an asset
