Reporting to Head of Engineering, the main duties of a Warranted Electrical Engineer are:
Assessing project requirements.
Producing electrical building services and extra low voltage engineering designs from concept design through to construction issue and undertake site supervision of design projects.
Designing and drawing using appropriate computer software (mainly ACAD) and drawing board methods.
Preparing technical specifications, reports and drawings.
Conducting site surveys, site inspections and condition surveys where appropriate.
Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers.
Liaising with suppliers and contractors.
Preparing the Bills of Quantities which list the individual components required to construct the project or any such building as assigned.
Representing the entity at meetings with clients and contractors.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Knowledge of AutoCAD
In possession of a clean driving license
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Meticulous and have an ability to work efficiently
Education & Experience
Degree in Engineering MQF Level 6
Local warrant
Minimum 4 years experience within the construction industry
