Zeta Energy Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Technical Superintendent to join their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management and technical operations of our fleet.
Overseeing the daily operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, assessments, inspections, docking, etc.
Ensuring vessels are technically operational or managed accordingly to the management agreement required.
Prepare, manage and evaluate for dry dockings, repairs & surveys, including report summaries of works performed and expenditure.
Organize bunkers for the company's own use ensuring the quality received onboard.
Identify & source for technical and operational supplies of spare parts, lubricants, chemicals, etc required for the vessels.
Ensuring budgeting and cost control measures which include the purchasing of the ship`s store and provisions as requested by the ship's master.
Provide technical assistance and advice to ships at home ports and overseas. Including the supervision of contractors.
Monthly reviews of log processes and attend inspections while monitoring the technical status relating to class cert & survey.
Perform compliance audits and investigations on defects/failures regularly whilst working closely with the safety team. Including systematic reviews of recommended codes, guidelines, and standards ensuring compliance with quality & safety management standards.
Reporting of accident/incident and near misses to prevent & eliminate potential incidents.
Participate in management review meetings liaising with the managing director on technical and operational matters.
To be a member of the company's shore-based emergency response team.
Undertake any other technical-related assignments as and when required.
Requirements:
English language is needed.
3+ years of experience would be an asset.
Candidates need to be flexible.
