Technical Manager

We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the glass-blowing division. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the effective and efficient production of glass products and that all safety protocols are adhered to. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage and oversee the glass-blowing division, including production, quality and safety protocols. 
• Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and productivity. 
• Monitor quality and safety standards, and take corrective action when necessary. 
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and updated as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to the production team on proper glass-blowing techniques. 
• Ensure that all necessary safety procedures are followed when servicing equipment and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations. 
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that materials are available for production. 
• Troubleshoot problems and provide technical support when necessary. 
• Develop and update standard operating procedures. 

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Hands on approach with leadership abilities. 
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Maltese and English is a must. Candidates with a command of German will be given preference.
