Quality Engineer

We have a Quality Engineer role within one of the leading manufacturing companies in Malta. Reporting into the Plant Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible to drive a preventive action mentality and to assist with standardizing actions arising from Design and Process FMEA and quality issues. Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Driving quality from design, development and manufacturing process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring that customer requirements are ingrained in all processes
• Being up-to-date with all customer protocols and requirements
• Assisting manufacturing in building quality through effective use of quality tools
• Conducting regular reviews of quality indices with a view to bring together all stakeholders in order to drive a continuous improvement mentality
• Preparing reports by collecting, analysing and summarising date to make recommendations
• Reviewing sample submission parts for any kind of approvals
• Determining quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
• Interfacing with all internal stakeholders, ensuring that customer issues are addressed in an effective and timely manner and that the permanent resolution is standardised

• Great Communication Skills in English
• Sound knowledge of quality principles, practices and procedures
• Strong interpersonal, reporting & presentation skills
• Self-driven individual able to do quality work with minimal supervision
• Fast learner with ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

• Minimum of MQF Level 6 in Engineering is required
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required, preferably 2 years
• Injection Moulding experience is preferred, but would consider candidates who have worked in plastic environments
