Plant Engineer (Projects & Maintenance)

This job of a Plant Engineer is within a food manufacturing environment and the candidate will be expected to overlook the whole plant vis a vis maintenance and overall upkeep related to machinery repairs, refrigeration, improvements and optimisation possibilities etc. while managing a small team.

• Oversee the plant's systems:  electrical, mechanical and refrigeration
• Plan and execute the preventative maintenance program for the plant
• Support and lead the maintenance team to trouble shoot and repair equipment
• Manage and lead the maintenance team as well as liaising with external contractors as needed
• Oversee the installation of machinery and equipment
• Ensure that all machinery and equipment operate within the Health and Safety standards
• Laising with contractors and communicating with suppliers 
• Carrying out general administrative duties related to the role - updating records, setting procedures and systems in place etc
• Project Management of any new and upcoming projects
