Network Planner

Melita Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Network Planner to join an existing team of Engineers, Planners, and Coordinators working on outside plant projects. The selected candidate will work on network planning and draughting of GIS-based network maps.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design cable routes, equipment locations, and other design plans
• Ensure that designs conform to set specifications
• Produce low-level designs of the optical network
• Draughting of GIS-based system maps.
• On-site measurements and draughting of as-built drawings.
• Upkeep of design records and databases.
• Coordinate with other project team members.

• Experience with GIS and AutoCAD platforms
• Understanding of utility and telecommunications networks
• Proficient with the use of computers and software, including MS Office
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Self-motivated, ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Liaise with construction crews and other parties to resolve any challenges.
• Possess a driving license.
• Experience on FTTx networks or similar would be considered an asset.
