Responsibilities:

  • As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will primarily be responsible for carrying out the duties of a site supervisor at the Associate level, including site supervision, project management, and construction management.
  • You will inspect and deliver supervision services on project sites to ensure compliance with contract documents, professional and company standards, health and safety, and codes of practice.
  • You will prepare site progress reports as directed by the Project Manager and work and operate under their direction.
  • You will also assist the project manager in the preparation of the site before the commencement of construction work, supervise the contractor's and subcontractor's works, and use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources required for the project.


Requirements:

  • To be considered for this role, you should ideally have accredited certification held in a related field, such as Construction or Project Management, a proven track record with experience working in a construction environment and with Project Management/Site Management delivery of complex and/or large-scale projects, including luxury hotel projects.
  • You should also preferably have an M&E background, an MRICS/FRICS, and/or other recognized Project Management certification.
  • Additionally, you should be highly cognizant and abreast of all applicable standards, legislations, and practices applicable to the construction industry in Brussels, having technical and commercial acumen for infrastructural and large-scale projects.
  • You should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Primavera, and MS Project, as well as Microsoft Office, with proficiency in BIM and/or other related design systems being considered an asset.
  • You should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, be able to work under pressure, work closely with others in a multidisciplinary environment, have attention to detail, influencing skills, assertiveness, and the ability to understand and express technical concepts accurately with confidence and clarity.
  • You should be analytical and have a measured approach to decision-making, able to take decisions as and when needed in the interest of efficiency.
  • Finally, you should demonstrate resilience, leadership and negotiation skills, excellent planning and organization skills, a high level of integrity, and be a motivated team player demonstrating an eager and positive work ethic.


**This role will be based in Brussels on a consultancy basis so a strong grasp of the French language is required.**
