Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Tenders Engineer to join their client's team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
As a Tenders Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the tendering process from start to finish.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire tendering process, ensuring quality and efficiency up to the closing stage
- Identify new projects (both government and private) and reach out to potential clients
- Ensure the department's participation in a maximum number of projects and achieve the business targets set by senior management
- Ensure that all tenders are submitted with the necessary documentation to avoid disqualification
- Submit all tenders on time and at the price instructed by senior management
- Follow up with clients and their consultants regarding projects where the company has submitted offers
- Ensure timely and efficient clarifications with clients at all stages
- Maintain an up-to-date database of projects in which the department has participated and their status
- Represent the company at meetings with customers from quote stage until closing stage
- Prepare and submit reports as requested
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure business needs are met.
Requirements:
- Be highly technical, ideally with a Mechanical Engineering Qualification
- Have experience working in a Tenders Department within the Building Services Industry and be comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and BOQs
- Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to read and spot crucial points within large documents or specification lists
- Be flexible, detail-oriented, professional, and have a positive attitude
- Have excellent interpersonal, communication, prioritization, and leadership skills
- Complete tasks accurately and on time.
