Mechanical Technician (Libya)

Our client, operating within the hospitality industry in Libya, is seeking to employ the services of a Mechanical Technician to form part of their technical team in Libya. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, your duties will include;

• Responding to day-to-day service requests, complaints, and other mechanical equipment maintenance originating from other departments
• Regular inspection of the Plant Rooms under the area of responsibility to identify and rectify problems
• Repairing and rectifying all defects and faults of all mechanical plant, systems, equipment and machinery
• Responsibility for all preventive maintenance of Refrigeration systems, HVAC, chilled water system pumps, hot water pumps, swimming pools pumps, irrigation pumps, steam lines, boilers, calorifiers & other plants
• Responsibility for ordering from overseas the necessary parts for all Hotel equipment to ensure downtime is minimized
• Properly using and caring for tools, whilst observing safe working practices
• Taking part in the discussion during departmental meetings and giving suggestions and recommendations for improvements both in and out of the department
• Giving prompt feedback on tasks as well as keeping all records updated on the logbook provided
• Ordering from overseas the necessary parts for all Hotel equipment to ensure downtime is minimized
• Demonstrating co-operation and trust with colleagues across the engineering department 

The salary advertised is being offered on Net basis is reflects the currency in Euro. The package includes accommodation in Libya, Medical Insurance, Company Phone and Flight Tickets to and from the country of origin

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years with similar experience with Industrial or Hospitality Plant & Machinery
• Holds relevant mechanical, technical and trade qualifications – OTD & HTD / HND or equivalent from authorized bodies
• Fluency in English is a must, whilst knowledge of the Arabic language is seen as an asset
• Self-motivated and able to handle pressure and adhere to deadlines
• Have good organisational and leadership skills
• High level of integrity and ability to adapt to working in a dynamic environment
