Maintenance Manager

About the job

Responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, performing regular maintenance checks, and overseeing the maintenance team to ensure the smooth running of the department. Manage any renovation projects within the hotel property, providing maintenance management and technical leadership, supporting the delivery of all jobs and all the required documentation. Responsible for compiling the yearly department budgets and ensuring that costs are in line with the set forecast

Responsibilities

• Development of a maintenance execution strategy for the upkeep of the hotel building and equipment
• Provide technical and management leadership to the maintenance team
• Completion of maintenance deliverables for regular and assigned tasks
• Ensure that maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards
• Ensure that maintenance costs are kept under control
• Plan for preventive and routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies, and facilities
• Plan realistic and accurate timelines for ongoing and assigned tasks
• Monitor maintenance tasks to ensure progress is accurate and up-to-date
• Identify the electrical, mechanical, and technical resources needed for the effective and efficient operation of the complex resources
• Manage energy conservation programs for the complex to minimize costs
• Development and implementation of all emergency programs
• Provide 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of building management and engineering
• Previous experience in facilities management
• Management of self and others
• Multitasking ability with a hands-on approach
• General technical knowledge across all maintenance tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Electrician's Licence A&B or equivalent.
