Junior Architect

One of our clients working within civil engineering and infrastructure development is searching for a Junior Architect to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will support the Senior Architect in the design, planning, and coordination of road and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, quality specifications, and project timelines. The Junior Architect will be involved in preparing detailed drawings, site assessments, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Architect in the design and development of road construction and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed architectural and technical drawings, plans, sections, and elevationsusing AutoCAD or Revit.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to architectural plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and site teams to ensure the architectural intent is maintained during construction.
• Support in the preparation of planning and permit applications.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, BOQs, and design reports.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with local regulations, health & safety standards, and sustainable design principles.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and contribute to problem-solving on site.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with architectural reviews and audits.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Understanding of construction methods related to roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Strong visual and technical design skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under the guidance of a Senior Architect.

• Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Warrant or eligibility for a professional warrant in Malta is considered an asset.
• 1–2 years of experience in an architectural role, preferably within infrastructure or civil works.
• Experience or knowledge in road construction projects is highly desirable
