Crowd Net Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
Create designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments. Use specialist construction knowledge and high-level drawing skills to design spaces/structures that are functional, safe, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing. Tasked with providing end-to-end tendering and technical support during project lifecycles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Research, program, plan, design, and administer projects for clients, applying knowledge of civil engineering, construction detailing construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
Assist in the preparation of feasibility, planning, valuations, and other documentation, as required, including contributing to the preparation of proposal submissions.
Perform and/or direct material and building system research and participate in the coordination and preparation of project specifications.
Provide technical input as required, prepare reports of a technical nature including transport assessments for submission to the appropriate authorities/clients, and carry out follow-up actions. Conduct desktop and field research, and prepare estimates of works and Bills of Quantities.
Formulate work plans and recommend work prioritization. Co-operate with and advise the client and the relevant contractors on technical matters and time frames.
Assist site construction team and contractors by advising on civil engineering issues and responding to queries throughout the construction stage.
Evaluate and certify the work is undertaken and the correctness of the amount due and that the work complies with the relevant contract provisions.
Any other work which may be required in the role of Graduate Civil Engineer.
Required Qualifications:
Accredited and recognized degree in civil engineering
Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Office Suite, Sketch-Up, and Photoshop
Excellent technical and design skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong client engagement skills
Strong working knowledge of local planning policies and building regulations
Able to attend site meetings/inspections and minutes/reports as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one-year post-graduate professional work experience
GIS/ Transport Modelling experience is desirable
Competent in 3D modeling
Charismatic, highly social, creative, and able to work independently
Strong experience in technical drawing
Strong experience in site supervision and site inspections
