Electrical Engineer

Bajada New Energy in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual and a great attitude. The selected candidate will be a person with strong leadership skills, who is able to communicate clearly to all stakeholders, and someone who displays a strong sense of presence and charisma. Working closely with all teams and functions of our operations the selected candidate will be highly involved in Creating Designs, Project Management, and all Technical and Electrical matters related to the operations. Preference will be given to candidates having experience as an Electrical Engineer and/or having experience in the Renewable Energy Sector including but not limited to Photovoltaic Panels, Solar Water Heaters, Reverse Osmosis, Air Conditions, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Operate computer-assisted design/engineering equipment to aid in designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes
• Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings
• Writing / Daily reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects, PV sites, and studies
• Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
• Supervise, train, and manage projects including but not limited to Engineering, operations, and logistics
• Estimating material, and labour construction costs for budget preparation,

• An electrical Engineering Degree and Electrical Warrant will be considered an asset
• Creative and able to work on own initiative
• Ability to manage a Team
• Target driven
• Proficiency in using ACAD
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
• Organised and able to prioritise tasks according to urgency and workload
• Driving license
