A client of ours specialising in healthcare is currently looking to onboard a Full Time Building Services Engineer. Your role and responsibility will include the following:
Managing Facilities Management Projects and coordinating with the rest of the FM team.
Ensuring that SOPs are always kept updated.
Training staff members on any machinery/equipment when required, compile check lists, etc.
Developing technical & performance standards/specs and ensuring standardisation for company equipment and infrastructure.
Managing all FM equipment by: keeping the respective database updated, procurement process, installation, commissioning, training technical staff, maintenance, testing, calibration, ensuring equipment is operated at an optimum standard (with intention to prolong lifetime), compiling contingency plans, decommissioning equipment (respecting standard environmental regulations),
Supervising and coordinating activities related to the upkeep of the building, plant and equipment whilst ensuring that deadlines are met safely with a low impact on operations.
Preparing FM reports to monitor the department’s activity. Managing the department/respective institution/suppliers and contractors to implement tasks within budget and timeline.
Responsible for the engineering certifications specifications (system definition) for custom systems that are not commercially available.
Keeping up to date with relevant changes in standards, best practices and applicable regulations.
Other important notes
Exposure to moving mechanical parts and to outdoor weather conditions.
Work in proximity of live electrical distribution boards and equipment.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Previous work experience in building services, facilities management or similar
Prior experience in a leadership position would be considered an asset
Education & Experience
MQF level 6 or higher in construction, engineering, building services or similar
Knowledge of raw materials, tools, machines, relevant software and techniques related to building/construction services
