Senior Data and AI Specialist

Our client, a leading commercial law firm in Malta is looking for a Senior Data and AI Specialist to join their dynamic team to develop and implement data and AI models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

This role is for a proactive do-er who can drive business discussions and deliver solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Preparation: Gather, clean, and pre-process large datasets to ensure high-quality inputs for AI models, and analyse the data to extract meaningful insights.
• AI Model Development and Deployment: Design, build, and implement AI models and algorithms that support and optimize business operations and decision-making.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers and key stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver integrated, AI-driven solutions.
• Research and Innovation: Keep up with the latest advancements in data science and AI. Conduct research to enhance model performance and develop new solutions using Azure technologies.
• Model Deployment and Optimization: Deploy machine learning models into production environments, continuously monitor performance, and fine-tune models for accuracy and efficiency.
• Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop visualizations, reports, and applications to clearly communicate insights and findings using Microsoft Power Platform tools.

• Proficient in Python, R, TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platforms - including Azure SQL Database, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure PowerBI
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Dataverse, and the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Solid understanding of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision techniques.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and findings in English. In Maltese is a plus
• wareness of GDPR and data protection regulations applicable in Malta and across the EU.
