About Data Management and BI:
The Data Management and Business Intelligence (DMBI) is responsible for ensuring the proper governance and management of the Authority's data. DMBI supports timely and effective decision-making across the authority by empowering management and the team with the right data-related processes, KPIs, dashboards, analytics, and risk profiling.

The Role:
As a Junior Assistant with the Data Solutions team, your responsibilities shall include:
  • Writing simple SQL queries to identify missing, incorrect, or duplicate data records;
  • Liaising with different functions to ensure data owners are cleaning the identified lower quality data;
  • Validating and double checking the work being done in different data quality workstreams;
  • Assisting the records management & supervision teams in the process of data cleaning and data inputting as necessary;
  • Regularly monitoring the quality of data and adherence to the organisational policies;
  • Any other tasks as occasionally requested by Management.

*Most of the tasks will be executed remotely, via the infrastructure and equipment provided by the Authority.

About You:
Eligibility criteria:
We are looking for candidates who are reading for a degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or similar at MQF Level 6 (including first year students), duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) and who are looking to build professional experience in preparation for entering the job market for the first time .

The below will be considered as a asset:

  • Good Knowledge of database technologies and comfortable with writing SQL Queries
  • Good communication and writing skills;
  • Works in a meticulous and structured manner;
  • Must be customer-service oriented;
  • Quick Learner and motivated to understand the business;
  • Be a team player when needed as well as being able to work independently on given tasks.
