Nestle Malta Ltd is currently looking to recruit a Channel Category Sales Development Business Analyst to join their team on a part-time basis.

Job Role:
In this position, you will interact with categories and sales colleagues on daily basis to drive our business strategy. The Category & Channel Sales Development Department acts as a catalyst between the Sales & Category Management functions, developing ways to aid the Sales team to deliver the various marketing ambitions. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our CCSD Team, ensuring that the various targets in place are reached.

Responsibilities:

  • Has a strong business acumen with an analytical mindset and a flair for number crunching
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the local trade customers, competition and structure
  • Is Curious, motivated and has the willingness to learn
  • Analyze the performance of Nestlé on a monthly basis, leading to solid conclusions and recommendations on way forward                                                 
  • Providing monthly updates on key activities at the Point of Sale by Competitors through analysing competitor trends/research data at the Category, Channel and Customer level
  • Support in the development of Category Channel Plans by providing Category & Channel trends, latest developments and analysis including optimising Category portfolio within channels                      
  • Assist the CCSD team in creating fact-based selling stories by providing relevant Category, Channel and Customer information. Includes areas of under/over performance, rationale & potential future opportunities for growth whilst increasing channel and customer profitability                                        
  • Promotional follow-up - maintenance of promotional chronogram, including competition analysis and follow-up on campaign implementations per customers
  • Ad-hoc analysis of regular issues coming from specific customer meetings.

Requirements:   
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, particularly MS Excel
  • Has a high level of commitment and a sense of accountability
  • Support CCSD Team by reporting execution performance & sales performance vs Plan for Category, Channel and Customer initiatives whilst proactively anticipating gaps.

  • The role requires 25 hours per week.
