BI Specialist (PowerBI)

Our client is currently looking to recruit a BI Specialist in Malta. You will be working in the heart of transforming the company’s BI tools and reporting capabilities as part of the Business Intelligence team leading this data centralization in one repository and one version of the truth across the clients business territories.

Responsibilities Include

• Create reports in PowerBI based on datasets, and enhance the readily available datamarts based on DWH data
• Drive the discussions with the data engineers on insourcing and modelling the data outside DWH as per reporting needs
• Identify the required dimensions & metrics and design the report visualization
• Capture reporting requirements from business analysts and different stakeholders including visualization requirements, reporting figures, metrics and KPIs, required calculations and respective data needs
• Support business analysts & business stakeholders with ad-hoc reports and identify this way reporting gaps to add in the reporting backlog
• Identify offline data analysis activities due to different templates required from different departments or analysts working in silos , introducing these metrics and reporting figures in standard reports available cross the company
• Identify data gaps in sources and work closely with Data engineers, IT and third parties to introduce these data into the BI Azure tools serving analytics (Azure data lake, SQL databases or DWH)
