AI Engineer

Galaktica is a Ukrainian product IT company that has been successfully creating and promoting its own online projects on the global market for over 5 years.

We are currently looking for a strong and proactive AI Engineer to help implement tasks for an existing product with an AI component, support the launch of a new product, and take ownership of the AI direction in our R&D department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering a fully functional AI assistant based on existing open-source solutions
• Achieving deep personalization of the assistant’s identity — including personal identity, voice, appearance, and name — tailored to user preferences
• Enabling seamless interaction between the assistant and key app features such as calendar, health tracker, and more
• Extracting insights from user data to provide truly personalized and actionable recommendations
• Building and deploying the full solution architecture — from model development and agent logic to production-ready inference.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience
Must-Have:

• Production experience building AI Agents using Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience in training and fine-tuning language models
• Experience building AI agents with complex architecture for solving advanced tasks
• Deep knowledge and hands-on production experience with Langchain & Langraph
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience working with open-source models like LLaMA, Mistral, DeepSeek, Yi, Qwen, etc., and practical use of PEFT (LoRA, QLoRA, AdaLoRA)
• Understanding of when to apply RLHF, RLAIF, DPO, PPO
• Knowledge of architectural approaches to building AI systems (RAG, agents, tool use)
• In-depth understanding of LLMs, including transformer-based architectures like GPT, BERT, and LLama — and their optimal use cases.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience preparing datasets, automating processes, and using or creating your own MCPs
• Uploading models to Hugging Face and following current repositories
• Background in other ML tasks like computer vision
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production
• Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform.
