About the Role: We are looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth guest experience. You will also handle reservations, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with various hotel departments to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. It is a requirement that the candidate is flexible to work night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring a high standard of service and customer care adhering to standard procedures regarding guest relations.
• Handle all queries and requests in a polite and efficient manner and relate feedback to Superiors and department/s concerned;
• Proper handling of any guest grievances and complaints and informing Superior promptly;
• Proper handling of registration and check-in and check-out procedures in accordance with accounting procedures;
• Compliance with all procedures governing the use and accurate handling of assigned cash;
• Proper handling of all reports and paperwork as set and/or delegated to by Superior.
• Accurate data input in hotel computer system, maintaining up to date records, filing and reporting;
• Coordination and communication with all the departments within the hotel;
• Promoting Hotel services and facilities to guests and maximizing sales accordingly;
• Controlling guest billing, credit limits, tour operator billing with vouchers and services offered;
• Preparing all Daily reports and paperwork for arrivals, departures and in house guests as required for Front Office and other departments;
• Performing other duties in other departments as delegated to by the Front Office and Reservations Supervisor or other Managers.
Desirable qualifications:
• Previous work experience in a hotel front office position is needed.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English Language.
• Good command of German/French language is considered to be an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment.
