Andrew Vassallo General Trading in Malta is looking to recruit a Customer Experience Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Maltese and English languages.

Key Responsibility:
To assist management in all sales of UPVC and Aluminium apertures and objects, back-office, and administrative functions in order to assure an efficient service to our clients.

Job Duties:
  • Assist management in all the daily activities.
  • Assume customer-centric behaviour.
  • Welcome and receive visiting customers and understand their needs to ensure that the company meets customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Demonstrate our products to the clients.
  • Create the right environment to reach and enable a sale.
  • Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Answer telephone calls and emails in a manner that ensures a responsive service to our clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Issue quotations/ revisions in a timely manner.
  • Taking of photocopies from ‘On Site’ Diary regarding UPVC and Aluminium, amending of quotes, pass for designs of any confirmed jobs, important to liaise with Head of Section.
  • Follow up on quotations from foreign suppliers, and orders by confirming designs and delivery of orders/materials.
  • Issue and follow up invoices (including chasing payment) in a timely manner.
  • Perform secretarial tasks as requested by management.
  • Deal with customer complaints or issues with the Section Manager/Head.
  • Maintain courteous and effective communication with clients, especially those that are seeking information regarding any pending works.
  • Follow drawings and sketches provided by management to ensure that the final product achieves customer expectations.
  • Checking statuses of any confirmed jobs.
  • Maintain files and records with effective filing systems.
  • Inputting of data in-office system and any worksheets.
  • Liaising with foreign/local agencies to get quotations and consequent papers/documents to proceed with shipments.
  • Escalate potential issues to management in order to clarify and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • Follow attentively management instructions and direction at all times.
  • Maintain a flexible attitude and make oneself available to longer working hours, as necessitated, for successful job completion.
  • Report personal or inter-personal concerns to management to try and find effective and efficient ways of doing things.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
  • Adhere to established Health & Safety policies and rules in order to safeguard personal and fellow colleagues’ health and safety at all times.
  • Preserve and protect all company equipment such as computers and peripheral devices and report any damages immediately to the manager.
  • Minimise water and energy consumption when not needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organised office at all times.
  • Assume other tasks or jobs that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:
  • The candidate must be well organised and punctual;
  • The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English and Maltese;
  • Candidate must have basic knowledge in mathematics;
  • The candidate must have clean conduct;
  • Candidates with prior experience in sales will be given priority;
  • General knowledge in uPVC and aluminium is considered to be an asset.
