WordPress Designer

We're looking for a talented WordPress Designer with strong front-end design flair and solid back-end development skills. You’ll create visually engaging, high-performing websites for a global financial services brand. A passion for UI/UX, animation, and modern web standards is essential. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch custom WordPress websites with a strong focus on visual impact and user experience.

• Build responsive layouts and animated interactive components using visual page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and custom code.

• Customise and extend WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project and business requirements.

• Integrate animation (CSS, JavaScript, SVG, or Lottie) to enhance interactivity and engagement.

• Manage backend development tasks including MySQL database integration, server performance optimisation, and API connections.

• Ensure all websites are optimised for speed, security, scalability, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, designers, and developers to transform creative ideas into functional solutions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve design and technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and developing WordPress websites, with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design and animation integration.

• Solid grasp of modern web design principles including colour theory, typography, layout, and user-centred design.

• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

• Experience working with animation libraries such as GSAP, ScrollMagic, or integrating Lottie animations.

• Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomy structures.

• Competent in both front-end and back-end development tasks.

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating third-party systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git is a plus.

• Up-to-date with the latest design trends and WordPress best practices.
