Mechanical Designer / Drafter

Our client, operating within the steel manufacturing industry, is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Drafter that will be forming part of their small, tight-knit team and support in turning designs into technical drawings. Your responsibilities will include;

• Create detailed designs using computer-aided design software (CAD) software
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and designers 
• Liaising with Head of Operations and steel fabricators to gather product requirements
• Calculating dimensions and requirements in material
• Dealing with clients in terms of designs and quotations

Education & Experience

• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Familiarity with 3D modelling tools
• Good math skills
• Ability to draw manually favourable, but not essential
