Data Protection Officer

Our Client within the public sector is currently seeking to recruit a Data Protection Officer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• To monitor and ensure that the company remains compliant with the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 
• Keeping abreast with any legislation concerning data protection and privacy
• To inform and provide advice to the company on any matter concerning data protection
• To act as the main contact point between the company and data subjects and handle all requests
• To assist in responding to any queries concerning data protection
• To represent the company locally or abroad
• To carry out or assist in any audits on internal processes
• To represent the Unit in proceedings, including as witness, before any court, tribunal or other adjudicating body;
• To cooperate with the Information and Data Protection Commission or the Data Protection Unit within the Ministry for Justice, Equality and Governance.
