Airfreight Assistant Manager

A client of ours is looking for an experienced professional to join their team and assist in managing the airfreight operations of the Company. Responsibilities would include:

• Overseeing and assisting in the daily operations of the airfreight team, providing them with guidance and support, as well as developing and implementing strategies for improving operational efficiency.
• Preparing all airfreight-related import and export documentation
• Handling all incoming inquiries from local clients and agencies overseas, and preparing quotes according to necessities
• Ensuring that all shipments are compliant with all applicable regulations, including customs, security, and environmental regulations.
• Developing and sustaining a friendly and helpful attitude tied with a professional demeanor all throughout

• Excellent command in both English and Maltese
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment

• A Level Standard of Education
• Understanding of the various regulations and requirements would be an asset
• 2 years experience in a similar role within Airfreight or Courier industry would be a must
• In absence of the above, candidates with experience in shipping/logistics would be given preference
