An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading financial institution for a Financial Crime and Compliance Manager. The selected candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and MLRO and have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for the operation and overseeing the day to day of the department in relation to CDD and oversight function
Supporting and providing advice on PEPs with regards to customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring
Carrying out a high level oversight from an AML perspective on the UK operations and work hand in hand with the MLRO based in the UK
Executing the company's AML and sanctions oversight program and monitor the annual plan
Working closely with the Heads of Department to ensure an annual risk assessment is being carried out and ensure follow ups are being actioned
Maintaining, overseeing and testing the client's risk assessment and assessing the validity of the methodology whilst recommending changes and any updates if need be
Assisting in the compilation of the Risk Evaluation questionnaire
Delivering training in relation to AML/CFT
Assisting the Head of Department in the continuous improvement of policies and procedures and ensuring these are in line with any legal and regulatory expectations
Collaborating on related projects which may be assigned from time to time
Skill-sets and Requirements
Minimum five years working experience within a similar role in financial services
Meticulous with an eye for detail
Possess strong interpersonal skills and assertiveness
Ability to multi task, prioritize work loads and meet deadlines
Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Education & Experience
MQF Level 5 or higher in Financial Crime or in possession of ICA/ACAMS
