Our client, a renowned CSP and law firm is seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer & MLRO to join their team. The selected candidate will be leading the Compliance team and have the following responsibilities:
Ensuring the company is compliant with internal and external compliance and AML requirements, regulations, directives and legislation
Training and managing a small team of Compliance administrators whilst supporting and assisting them
Overseeing the administration of compliance processes, ensuring that all client files are reviewed and in order on a regular basis
Drafting, maintaining and constantly updating the company's compliance and AML framework, policies and procedures whilst making sure the company is operating within all required standards.
Acting as the company's MLRO and ensuring the company's compliant with AML/CFT controls, highlighting and reporting and suspicious activity to the authorities and assisting in the investigations if required
Record keeping, filing internal and external reports, developing and overseeing client on boarding processes, and making sure KYC and due diligence checks are being properly carried out on both prospective and current clients
Carrying out the necessary risk assessments
Keeping abreast on any changes and developments in relevant laws, regulations and requirements, communicating such updates to the management and the rest of the team whilst taking the necessary actions to ensure the firm's continued compliance
Developing and delivering AML training to staff members to ensure awareness and see that the correct procedures are being followed
Acting as the main point of contact for any compliance related matters whilst responding to any related requests
Handling reporting to the regulators and ensuring that all compliance reports are submitted in a timely manner
Maintaining the business risk assessment and reporting any significant risks to the Directors and senior managements
Skill-sets and Requirements
Minimum 3 -5 years experience in a similar role locally. Candidates coming from similar environments will be given preference
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Fluency in another language will be considered an asset
Honesty and strong decision making skills
Ability to meet with strict deadlines
Possess excellent organizational and analytical skills
Eye for detail
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
