Inspire Foundation in Malta is looking to recruit Support Workers to join its growing team on a ful/part-time basis.

Job Role: 
The Support Workers shall assist individuals with disabilities in their daily participation in activities whilst ensuring their active engagement to the best of their potential. This role requires those recruited to be hands-on and to facilitate the individuals in all possible aspects, including their personal care needs. Responsibilities shall vary depending on the specific needs of the day. Additionally, they shall be required to work closely with other members of the team. This includes working with teachers, tutors, therapists, and others involved in developing and implementing action plans for the individuals; and communicating with parents to provide them with feedback following sessions.

The selected candidates must be passionate about making a difference, be patient, and be able to remain calm in stressful situations. They should be flexible and open to change as may be required from day to day.

Qualification Requirements:
The ideal candidate should:
  • Possess a minimum of an MQF Level 3 of education in care or disability studies, or in a related field;
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English;
  • Experience working with individuals with profound learning disabilities would be considered an advantage.

*Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
