Social Worker (Part-Time)

Job Description
Social Assistance Secretariat - AKM in Malta, is currently looking to recruit a Social Worker to join their team on a part-time basis.

Job Role:
In this role, the social worker will work with various client groups, mainly with adults and families on reduced hours. (Minimum 15hrs/week)

Responsibilities:

• Providing emotional and social support to families/individuals
• Carrying out assessments of the needs of the service users
• Helping service-users access services and supporting them strive towards independence
• Provide support to various parishes, that require support and mentorship about supporting vulnerable families in their locality
• Liaising with other professionals and organisations to ensure that service users’ needs are met holistically.

Requirements:

• Be fully qualified as a Social Worker or is a 4th-year student currently studying Social Work at the University of Malta
• Be kind, generous and willing to work in a positive environment
• Be a team player
• Have sound morals that value human dignity and well-being.
