Playworker

Job Description
Inspire Foundation in Malta is looking to recruit a Playworker to join their team on a part-time basis for the upcoming Summer months. 

Do you love working with children? Are you passionate about making an impact? The Playworkers shall assist children in their daily needs and guide our children to engage and participate in a variety of activities. Applicants must be hands-on and keen to facilitate the children in all possible aspects, including their personal care needs and other responsibilities according to the daily needs.

Job Role: 
The Playworkers will be joining a team of tutors, and therapists whereby altogether, they shall work hand in hand to develop and implement fun and engaging therapeutic and educational activity sessions. If you are passionate about making a difference, patient, and able to remain calm in stressful situations then this is the right opportunity for you!

The ideal candidate should:

• Have at least an ‘O’ level standard of education.
• Qualifications related to care, disability studies, psychology, or other related fields would be an asset although not necessary.
• Must be able to communicate in Maltese due to young children in the program.
• The ability to communicate in English would be an asset.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with children or people with a disability would be considered an asset.

Working hours: 

• Playworkers will be recruited on a temporary basis for the Summer on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 2 pm.

*Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
