Occupational Therapist (Full-Time/Freelance)

Inspire Foundation in Malta is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist (Full-Time/Freelance) to join their team.

General Scope and Purpose of Position:
We are looking for a qualified full-time Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team on a Full Time (Malta) or Freelance (Gozo) basis. A professional who is willing to help us continue working for equality and inclusion for our clients. The chosen professional will find a workspace encouraging personal growth while enjoying a friendly environment. The Occupational Therapist shall carry out comprehensive specialist initial assessments of clients within a multidisciplinary context, offer intervention according to need, monitor progress, and reassess periodically in order to be able to formulate professional reports. The chosen individual shall be working in collaboration with other staff members and support systems in order to maximize the development of the service user’s potential in an inclusive environment. 

We are looking for a team player who has a good working knowledge of a range of OT approaches and effective communication skills. The ideal individual can work autonomously & set own priorities whilst ensuring a high-quality service. The selected individual shall be working with individuals exhibiting a variety of difficulties such as behaviour that challenges, autism, intellectual disability, and profound & multiple learning difficulties. 

Qualification Requirements:
The ideal candidate should:

• Possess an MQF Level 6 Degree in Occupational Therapy;
• Be registered with the Council for the Professions Complimentary to Medicine (CPCM).
• Must be fluent in Maltese and in English.

*Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
