Job Vacancy: Live-In Nanny

A European couple who has just taken residence in Malta and with a 4-year-old child, living in a centrally located Palatial Villa, is looking for an English-speaking live-in Nanny to work and look after the child within the Employer’s home. The Nanny would live in the villa with all services provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for the child;
• Engaging and encouraging indoor and outdoor play;
• Managing the child’s personal care, regarding grooming, dressing, and help with the feeding;
• Tidying the children’s rooms/nursery and looking after the laundry such as washing, ironing, and folding the child’s clothes;
• Assisting the child with homework and school projects;
• Preparing child’s snacks and meals;
• During the child’s time at school to support with the housekeeping errands such as family shopping and other duties;
• Working together with the family on appropriate rules and discipline for the child;
• Taking the child to activities outside the home, that is playgroups, lessons, sports activities;
• Such other duties as the Employer may require the Employee to carry out from time to time.

Requirements:

• Experience in caring for children with a loving disposition;
• Must be fluent in English both spoken and written;
• High standard in etiquette and education;
• Training / Degree as a childcare worker (e.g. Montesori or others);
• With high integrity and a disposition of patience;
• Driving licence;
• Basic First Aid competence.
