Call for Services - PT Social Worker for Adopt A Family- an initiative that supports families who are struggling and below the poverty line with the educational and health needs of the children of these families.
The Role:
Conduct assessments for clients’ needs
Make recommendations/referrals in line with the project aims
Document client assessments - Follow up with clients as required.
Qualifications:
A first degree in social work
Skills and Abilities:
Fluent in spoken and written Maltese and English.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Be competent in the use of IT.
Work independently and take initiative.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist clients with understanding their needs.
Carry out effective social work assessments and provide professional and timely interventions to children and their families.
Assess family’s financial situation
Maintain required documentation and report-writing.
Case management.
Work collaboratively with colleagues of The Malta Trust Foundation in the best interest of the client.
Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic and integrated interventions are in place and in line with the project deliverables.
Be culturally competent and nurture and foster a safe and inclusive approach.
Terms of Service:
The candidate will be engaged on a contract for service.
The successful candidate will be required to offer the service on a part-time basis.
The service may be required on any day/s of the week, between Monday and Saturday.
Availability to work flexibly is required.
Prior to the confirmation of employment, TMTF will perform the procedure required by the law regulating work with minors (POMA).
