Call for Services - PT Social Worker for Adopt A Family- an initiative that supports families who are struggling and below the poverty line with the educational and health needs of the children of these families.

The Role:
  • Conduct assessments for clients’ needs 
  • Make recommendations/referrals in line with the project aims
  • Document client assessments - Follow up with clients as required.

Qualifications:
A first degree in social work

Skills and Abilities:
  • Fluent in spoken and written Maltese and English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Be competent in the use of IT.
  • Work independently and take initiative.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with understanding their needs.
  • Carry out effective social work assessments and provide professional and timely interventions to children and their families.
  • Assess family’s financial situation
  • Maintain required documentation and report-writing.
  • Case management.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues of The Malta Trust Foundation in the best interest of the client.
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic and integrated interventions are in place and in line with the project deliverables.
  • Be culturally competent and nurture and foster a safe and inclusive approach.

Terms of Service:
  • The candidate will be engaged on a contract for service. 
  • The successful candidate will be required to offer the service on a part-time basis. 
  • The service may be required on any day/s of the week, between Monday and Saturday.
  • Availability to work flexibly is required. 
  • Prior to the confirmation of employment, TMTF will perform the procedure required by the law regulating work with minors (POMA).
