Job Role: Call for Services of a Psychotherapist (Programm Tbissima)
Programm Tbissima is a project led by the Malta Trust Foundation in collaboration with the Right to Smile Foundation. Programm Tbissima is a non-formal education program for children and youths in Marsa.
The role of the Psychotherapist:
Plan and deliver psychotherapeutic group sessions for children/youth as required, to meet their developmental and psychosocial needs.
Provide psychosocial support during the group sessions (children/ youth) as required.
Support a safe and nurturing environment for the children, youth, and project team.
Support with issues such as depression, bullying, various mental health issues, and learning difficulties in children by providing appropriate.
Qualifications of Psychotherapist:
MQRIC Level 7 in Psychotherapy and a professional warrant.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Psychotherapist:
Observe and interact with children and young people and respond to what they might be communicating through their behaviour and play;
Plan and deliver psychotherapeutic group sessions for children/ youth as required, to meet their developmental and psychosocial needs;
Offering psychotherapeutic advice, training, consultation, and supervision group sessions to volunteers once a month;
Delivering one–to–one therapy sessions with children and families as required;
Completing reports to the coordinator.
Terms of service:
The candidate will be engaged on a contract for service.
The successful candidate will be required to offer the service on a part-time basis.
The service may be required on any day/s of the week, between Monday and Saturday.
Availability to work early afternoon and evenings.
Prior to the confirmation of employment, TMTF will perform the procedure required by the law regulating work with minors (POMA).
