Kitchen Porter / Cleaner

Hammett’s Collection is growing and looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter/Cleaner.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our premises. This position is essential to the smooth running of our operations and ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who takes pride in keeping spaces spotless and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Principal duties include cleaning designated areas ensuring that all surfaces are hygienically cleaned as instructed 
• Ensuring that any complaints, hazards and faulty equipment are reported to the head chef.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines according to safety and hygiene standards.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and notify the manager when inventory is low.
• Cleaning the restaurant floors daily and ensuring that the restrooms are cleaned and well-maintained throughout the day
• Inspect and report any maintenance or equipment issues.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cleaner or dishwasher in a restaurant or similar environment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe handling of cleaning products.
• A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
