Job vacancies: Cleaner and Housekeeper
*Candidates applying MUST be living in Malta and have a valid work permit.

A European couple who has just taken residence in Malta and with a 4 year old child, living in a centrally located Palatial Villa, is looking for an English-speaking Cleaner and Housekeeper to work and take care of the Villa’s facilities and carry out cleaning duties.

Cleaner Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning of Kitchen, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, and other areas;
• To ensure the home is kept organised, clean and tidy;
• Doing the laundry and ironing;
• Provide other cleaning and housekeeping duties as may be required.

Housekeeper Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing Breakfast, sometimes cooking for the family;
• Keeping the house nicely decorated, incl. flowers, odor, etc;
• Event planning and arranging menus, setting up dining table, and provide other logistics for dinners and events;
• Sometimes taking care of the needs of guests;
• Supervise the housemaid in the daily cleaning and to ensure the home is kept tidy and well organised;
• Ensure daily inspection of all bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas to high standards;
• Look after the laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management;
• Running errands;
• Oversee the discipline of any outside workers that occasionally may be necessary for the technical upkeep of the house;
• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging towels;
• Ordering the shopping and stocking up the house store;
• Occasional driving services for the family.

Cleaner Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cleaner;
• Discretion;
• Prioritisation and time management skills;
• Working quickly without compromising quality;
• Knowledge of the English language.

Housekeeper Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper;
• Discretion;
• High standard in etiquette and education;
• Having high integrity;
• Experience in organising events;
• Ability to work to one’s own initiative and maintain a high level of performance;
• Prioritisation and time management skills;
• Working efficiently without compromising quality;
• Driving licence;
• Knowledge of the English language.
