Medilink International in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Provider Network Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
Purpose:
Develop the medical network at the level of the rounded area by concluding service contracts with International medical service providers and collaborate with the following, but not only: health authorizations, customer relations, OH, TPA and operations department, accounting
Main Responsibilities:
Implements screening processes for healthcare providers worldwide
Evaluates the service providers according to the procedures received from the headquarters
Negotiates and concludes service contracts between providers and the insurance company
Keeps permanent contact with suppliers, keeps track of their activity, and keeps them up to date with new issues in the network
Carefully monitors the activity of contracted suppliers and presents proposals for possible corrective actions
Carefully monitors the evolution of the health services market: providers, services, trends, and changes; from all the geographical regions, and reports to the department manager on these issues
Implements training programs with a medical and auxiliary staff of service providers - rules and working procedures
Assists service providers in carrying out the contract with the company
Assist the Business Development department of Medilink International through details on services provided by the network and system, when needed
Reports weekly and monthly to the department manager on the activity, according to the procedures
Keeps in permanent contact with members of the TPA & OH Department of Medilink International, and is actively involved in solving any problems arising in its line of activity (network of suppliers)
Represents the society in front of the local medical communities and coordinate lobbying actions in these communities
It is actively involved in the implementation of projects and programs developed by the headquarters.
Requirements Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication skills
Skilful negotiator
Competent at understanding needs and being persuasive
Able to take decisions independently following company guidelines
Able to supervise and train colleagues
Performance driven
Transparent and open attitude
Good knowledge of English (spoken/presented, written and read).
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in sales in the medical field or in health management
Evidence of a detailed understanding of the market of medical service providers
Proven experience in coordinating sales in the medical or financial field.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a higher education institution, preferably in the medical field
Ideally postgraduate studies in health management.
