Our client operating within the financial services industry is seeking to recruit a Risk Analyst to join their risk department. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Assisting and conducting risk related tasks and assignments
Supporting the organization in recommending, developing and implementing appropriate risk controls to mitigate incidents
Identifying and designing methods to monitor, assess and report operational risk exposure and relevant risk metrics
Collaborating with related parties to ensure effective key controls are appropriately designed and effectively operating to mitigate identified risks
Assisting with specific risk assessments, including the production of heat maps and remediation plans
Reviewing of policies and procedures and ensuring documentation is constantly updated
Contributing in the achieving of the department's objectives
Keeping abreast with relevant regulation and standards being issued from the regulators
Assisting with any other duty which may be required from time to time
Skill-sets and Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role within Financial Services
Ability to work on own initiative and respecting tight deadlines
Excellent multitasker
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Hold excellent communication skills both in English and Maltese
Candidates with a background in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics will be given preference
Education & Experience
Hold a Degree in Financial Services, Statistics or Business management
