Head of Risk

Our client a well-established company within the financial services industry is seeking to recruit for a Head of Risk.

Duties include: 

• Ensuring effective monitoring transaction monitoring for risk and fraud, identifying risks and areas for improvement and implementing risk mitigation strategies. 
• Managing the Company’s Risk Management Policies & Procedures 
• Implementing the Company’s Risk Monitoring Programme and ensuring that this is periodically reviewed to capture the most important business risks. 
• Partnering with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management 
• Overseeing the company's credit function from a risk perspective 
• Drafting regular reports to the Risk Committee and Board of Directors of the Company as needed from time to time 
• Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in the field of risk management 
• Leading a team of analysts 

• Must possess sufficient experience or qualifications to obtain MFSA approval as a risk officer
• Experience in dealing with credit facilities would be an asset
• At least 5 years of previous work experience in a similar managerial role within the banking, investments or financial sector
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
