Director ( Banking and Funds)

Our client within the Banking and Funds industry are looking for a Director to join the team

Responsibilities: 

• Be the reference point with the regulators,stakeholders and other relevant entities
• Contribute to the administration of the company
• Providing overall the necessary recommendations to the Management Committee on various matters
• Co-ordinate the amendment process in relation to the local legal framework in line with local and EU developments
• If required, organise and carry out onsite visits at member banks and investment firms, if necessary, in liaison with MFSA Supervisory Functions
• Participation in, and engagement with the relevant entities and working groups
• Managing and mentoring a motivated and professional team and coordinate tasks as required
• Developing appropriate management information to support a focus on effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring that proper working policies and procedures are in place
• Acting as signatory and representing the company

• 8-9 years in a similar role

• A University of Malta Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant financial subject or a comparable recognised qualification at NQF level 6
