One of our clients within the banking industry is looking for a Consumer & Micro Business Finance Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to Group Chief Retail Banking Officer.
Responsibilities:
Building and deepening the understanding of the bank’s retail banking client base
Developing and maintaining profitable lending and deposit relationships with both new and existing personal and small business clients
Leading business initiatives to support the department and Bank’s objectives, including the determination of the overall team structure and interaction
Leveraging relationships to deepen awareness of credit trends and fostering open dialogue across teams
Driving opportunities to understand and promote data analytics initiatives that support the department objectives
Influencing credit review methodology and operating processes across the department, by ensuring the methodology keeps pace with environmental changes
Defining and approving recruitment requirements and managing resource allocation across review execution, considering skill-set and development objectives and risk allocation
Sharing regulatory concerns and areas of focus to enhance team awareness
Engaging in industry and business forums to maintain current knowledge of the business and recommending changes when needed, whilst attending Risk Committee and other pertinent portfolio meetings regularly as may be required
Distinguishing and evaluating cyclical and secular industry trends, and the impact on client risk whilst serving as an information resource on consumer credit products, consumer credit risk, and policy
Ensuring consistent application of the Bank’s credit risk policy, credit procedures, consistency of credit review approach and compliance with methodology across the business
