Atlas Language School is looking for a Student Support Representative (Turkey) for our school in Malta.
The aim of the position is to provide assistance to our Turkish students who often face challenges due to great cultural differences and language barriers. This support includes all aspects of a student’s stay and course, e.g. registration support, visa support, accommodation support and more.
The role also involves the promotion of Atlas Language School and its courses online via our social media channels and helping our Sales team in building relationships with Turkish educational agents.
As a language school we advertise our courses to international students all around the world, including Asia. Turkey has become a large source market of English language
students in Malta. In order to successfully market in Turkey and also support Turkish students in Europe and Malta, it is of invaluable advantage to know the culture and language of Turkey, which is so different from Malta and Europe in many regards. We are targeting 100 student bookings from Turkey in 2023. To achieve this target it is essential that we have a Turkish speaking staff member as part of our team.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Engaging with Turkish agencies based in Turkey via online channels.
Engaging with potential customers in Turkey via Social Media channels with targeted content in the native language and culturally adapted.
Preparing Turkish students for their journey to and time in Malta.
Greeting Turkish students on their first day and making sure they settle in.
Supporting Atlas staff on-site in case of language barriers.
Supporting students in the native language, especially with regards to important and/or sensitive information.
It would be important for the candidate to possess the following:
Be fluent in Turkish (spoken and written)
Have native cultural awareness of Turkish culture
Experience required:
Minimum 1-year work experience
Good knowledge of Malta, especially with regard to:
life and culture
visa system
accommodation renting
banking
Marketing / social media experience is also preferable
