Operations Officer - Reduced Hours

The Role
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations and will form part of a team who is responsible for ensuring high-level efficiency in the day-to-day administrative tasks of both JMFA as well as Merill Sicav.

Responsibilities 

• Issuance of contract note
• Reconciliation of holdings
• Provider/client settlement
• Regulatory reporting
• System maintenance
• Internal transfer of assets
• Processing of new bond issues and IPOs
• Mail shots
• Corporate actions
• Issuance of valuation of assets
• Processing purchase and sale orders with fund managers
• General administration tasks to support the team and management

Requirements

• Previous experience within an office environment or in a similar role would be considered an asset
• Candidates in possession of a banking and finance diploma (or equivalent) will be considered as an asset
• Furthermore, applicants should have excellent communications skills in both Maltese and English, should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and office automation tools, have a pleasant personality, and be of good moral character.
