Our client, operating in multiple sectors such as retailing, manufacturing, catering and real estate is seeking to recruit a Company Secretary. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Attending and preparing for board meetings which includes keeping minutes whilst producing agenda of 14 subsidiaries and 3 associate companies
Drafting of resolutions and company secretarial documents of all the companies as required
Ensuring that all the companies are complying with the requirements of the Companies Act
Raising and highlighting matters which may require the attention of the boards of the companies
Liaising with third parties such as banks, Registry of Companies, external professional advisors and auditors
Any other duties which may be required by the Executive team from time to time
Skill-sets and Requirements
A minimum of three years experience in a similar role locally
Excellent communication skills in English and Maltese, both verbally and written
Trustworthy with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
Possess strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
Ability to observe confidentiality at all times
Amenable to flexible working arrangements according to the needs of the meetings
Travelling to attend overseas board meetings is required
Education & Experience
Candidates holding a tertiary Degree will be given preference
