The following vacancies have arisen within the Commercial Development & Strategy Department.

Purpose of Position:

The Executive Assistant is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks and supporting the SVP of Commercial Development & Strategy in the smooth operation of the department. This includes addressing actionable items and handling various administrative duties to assist the SVP in effectively performing her role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the SVP’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events while prioritising urgent tasks and ensuring no scheduling conflicts.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including preparing agendas, arranging meeting rooms, and ensuring all necessary materials and technology are in place.
  • Support the department by assisting with the management of contracts, maintaining documentation, and following up on pending matters to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including emails and phone calls, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-ups.
  • Attend meetings, take accurate minutes, and distribute them promptly.
  • Maintain and organise both digital and physical files for contracts, reports, and other business documents, ensuring they are easily accessible when needed.
  • Provide general administrative assistance as needed, including research, preparing presentations, and supporting ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

  • Be highly proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Be solution-oriented and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be energetic, self-motivated, and with a positive mindset.
  • Be a strong team player.

In 1958, Malta International Airport was inaugurated in Luqa. There were two floors, a single restaurant, a viewing balcony and we handled approximately 50,000 passengers in one year.
