Technology is at the core of the knowledge-based organisation. It enables MFSA's strategic and operational objectives to be achieved efficiently and effectively. The Technology team is made up of professionals specialised in relevant areas that include governance and planning, information systems, information security, technology operations and service management. Officials from Technology also participate and give their contribution in several European committees, expert groups and industry fora.
The Role:
As Administrative Officer you will be responsible for the following main duties:
Administrative support to the Head of Technology;
Secretarial and clerical contribution;
Administering office systems, including data management and filing;
Screening enquiries and requests, and handling them appropriately;
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders;
Managing the scheduling of meetings and taking minutes;
Research, information gathering, presentation and literature documentation;
Drafting of business correspondence and proofreading;
Assisting in operating procedures and controls;
Supporting the team workplan;
Assist in other tasks as directed.
About You:
We are looking for candidates with a background in secretarial and clerical expertise, ideally familiar with information and communication technologies.
The role calls for an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least five (5) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
The ideal candidate must:
Communicate and understand the needs of internal and external audience;
Be customer focused and have knowledge of standards and procedures;
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills;
Be fluent in the Maltese and English language;
Have adequate knowledge of office applications, facilities and business tools;
Have good written and verbal skills, and proven ability to work on own initiative;
Have the ability to work within a team, multitask and capable of meeting deadlines;
Possess a pleasant personality, have good organisational skills, and self motivated;
Have the aptitude to work under pressure and able to respond to emergencies after hours.
