Tax Director

A reputable client of ours, specialised within the Finance and Corporate sector is currently looking to onboard a Tax Director to join their team of professionals:

Duties:

• Ensure that the required strategy, execution plans, operational metrics, policies, and tools are in place to successfully achieve the Company’s objectives.
• Contribute from a Tax perspective to the formulation of strategic and policy direction for the Company and related entities under the Company brand
• Prepare financial budgets, forecasts, performance reports and any other related information, keeping the Board of Directors updated on these
• Develop and communicate a value proposition and go-to-market plan for services working with other internal/external stakeholders to execute these accordingly.
• Work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, develop and maintain a roadmap for Tax, aligned with the Company’s objectives 
• Act as a key point of contact for the client., keeping them informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided, and maintaining regular contact with respective clients
• Identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities, to the Partners, whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters
• Ensure that the Company's quality control procedures are adhered to including second partner reviews
• Work as part of management team with other tax managers within the business group, and provide support to the rest of the Tax team
• Be responsible for the further growth (organic and non-organic) and the development of the Company, including strengthening existing service lines and growing new business areas.
• Effectively manage both onshore and offshore resources, providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members, and fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

• Solid local experience, (ideally also having international exposure) working in a similar role, within the financial sector
• Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
• An exemplary team leader with the ability to work independently as well a spart of a team

Education and Experience

• Must hold relevant Taxation and Financial qualifications
