Revenue Manager

Shortletsmalta Limited in Malta is seeking to recruit a Revenue Manager to be responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization. As a member of the Revenue Management Department, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to set strategic direction, determine to price, create promotions, and explore new distribution opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement business plans and product strategies
• Exposure to senior management and working closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Support, Services, and Reservations.
• Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust sales and pricing strategies.
• Provide critical analysis of strategies, room statistics, and demand factors.
• Conduct competitive and demand analysis.
• Maintain distribution channel data integrity.
• Independently implements appropriate hotel inventory distribution strategy; maintains accurate rates and inventory allotments in the IDS/GDS/CRO and property PMS in a timely manner to promote rate parity throughout all booking channels.
• Develops near and long-term top-line room revenue hotel forecasts upon request from the Regional Director of Revenue Management.
• Spearheads troubleshooting and resolution of any GDS rate loading issues as they occur.
• Analyzes independently and determine whether the hotel is effectively marketing itself across electronic distribution channels.
• Ensure that all rooms statistics reports, including the Financial statement, and any other related reports are accurate and consistent
• Attend Weekly Sales Meetings to maintain communication of strategies and need periods.
• In general, perform any other duties that might be requested by Front Office Manager or Room Division Manager.
• Perform revenue management service for a select group of hotels and Short term apartment rentals.

• Must have 2-4 years of proven experience in hotel revenue management at the multi-property level.
• Fluent in English and at least another European language.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Be able to work on your own initiative.
• Computer literate, conversant with MS Office applications - specifically Excel and Access - and can use specific software related to the operations.
• Excellent analytical skills and must fully comprehend the travel industry distribution landscape. This includes third-party channels, GDS, central reservation systems, and property management systems.
• Able to interact remotely with hotels, interact frequently with corporate brand representation, and coach direct reports on revenue management best practices. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate ideas in verbal and written presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and show skills in follow-up, multi-tasking, leadership, and accountability for team actions.
